Wow what a very exciting week it’s been for Celebrity Cruises.
Not only did they take delivery of their new $1 billion dollar baby, Celebrity Edge from STX Shipyard in France, they also laid the keel for her Sister Ship: Celebrity Apex which is expected to be delivered in 2020.

As more and more of Edge has been revealed there is a palpable buzz within the Travel Industry and excitement reached it’s peak this week as the long awaited Celebrity Edge was delivered to Celebrity Cruises after 23 months of construction.

Celebrity is already known for it’s elegant, contemporary and modern fleet and with new features like magic carpets and staterooms with balconies that convert from inside to outside, it seems Celebrity will also be known for it’s innovation too.

1) The Magic Carpet
One of the most exciting things on Celebrity Edge is the Magic Carpet. This cantilevered deck floats above the sea. This multifunction platform moves between deck 2 and 14, and as well as being used to access the Edge Launches, it also offers a full bar and dining options all with uninterrupted views of the ocean.

2) The Main Dining Room
Celebrity Edge has re-imagined the Main Dining Room concept, Edge will have 4 main dining rooms to choose from, In each dining room 75% of the menu will be the same and 25% will differ in each venue so you have an exceptional amount of choice.
3) Infinity Verandas
Probably one of the most beautiful features on the Edge are the Infinity Veranda Staterooms.
